Sri Mahaswamigal of Kanchi glorified Lord Villeswara as 'Vilichaal Vilikelkkum Deivam'.
VPSRIM trust has opened a Patasala with the blessings of Shri Kanchi Maha Periavaa in West Peruvemba Village in Palakkad adjacent to the Villeswaram Temple a few years ago. This was initiated under the instruction and inspiration of Kanchi Jagadguru. The backbone of this organisation, Sri. P.K.Ganesha Vadhyar (our cousin) also known by the name Bombay Ganesha Vadhyar, has taken great effort to build this institution. He is an ardent devotee of Kanchi Mahaswamigal. His recent visit to Dubai/Abu Dhabi to meet the Asthika Samithis made additional contribution to the progress of this trust.
During his visit to UAE, Ganesha Vadhyar shared with us his most intense moments with Kanchi Mahaswamigal when he was learning Vedas in Kanchipuram under the instructions of Shri Maha Periavaa. We felt this is one of the most treasured moments of our life. While we were having lunch, he shared most of the meetings with Mahaperiyava with tears in his eyes. Honestly, it brought tears in our eyes too.
While Mahaperiyava was camping in Sathara, our Periyappa (Shri. Krishna Iyer) made a visit to seek HIS blessings. Periyappa had Mahaperiyava's darshan and revealed his grief that he did not receive any news from his son for quite sometime, who left home to learn Veda and Upanishads at a young age. Mahaperiyava consoled him saying that ' Nee oorukku kilambu, rendu nalila unakku un payyan vivaram kedakkum'. Periyappa left the camp with new hope. He was very sure that once the matter was brought into HIS ears, the problem will have a Solution. On the same day, Periyappa's son (Ganesha Vadhyar) with his Guru had come down to visit Mahaperiyava in Sathara. What a coincidence !!!
Ganesha Vadhyar moved behind his Guru and had Mahaperiyava's darshan. Mahaperiyava asked Ganesha Vadhyar to come forward and asked a few questions. Ganesha Vadhyar respectfully answered all the questions of Mahaswamigal. Mahaswamigal called someone and said to him, 'Poyi antha inland konduva'. The person who received the order from Mahaswamigal brought the inland. Mahaperiyava handed to Ganesha Vadhyar and told ' Appavukkum Ammavukkum nee enga irukkenu Kadithasi podavendama'. He instructed Ganesha Vadhyar to open the inland and write a letter to his parents. He patiently dictated him how to write to them. After writing the letter when Ganesha Vadhyar folded the inland, he was shocked to see the sender's name and address already filled on it. Ganesha Vadhyar was stunned with a lot of questions in his mind. Later, he came to know from someone in the camp that his father had made a visit and discussed his grief with Mahaperiyava .
Ganesha Vadhyar shared with us about the final days of Mahaswamigal and Kanakabhishekam at Kanchi Mutt. He remembered the feather like feet of Mahaswamigal when he went to touch His feet after the Kanakabhishekam with Karpoora Aarati. Though we missed one of the most auspicious occassions, we felt ourselves are the luckiest ones to know more about Mahaswamigal.
Ganesha Vadhyar explained about ' The Karunya Moorthy' / 'Nadamadum Deivam' / 'Sri Dakshina Murthy of Kanchi Mahaperiya and many incidents and experiences in his few hours stay at our residence.
Please visit http://www.vedavidyalaya.com/ for more information and about the facilities available in the Vedapadasala. Ganesha Vadhyar is available at the following nos. 022-27665295/ Mobile - 093237378888 / 0969727533 . Kanchi Mahaswamigal promoted Education on Vedas and Upanishads. I feel it is our responsbility to follow the path of our Guru Kanchi Mahaswamigal.
