Praise of Pandithamani Kadiresan Chettiar Many scholars and vidwans would visit our Swamigal at his camp at Ilayathangudi and converse with him for hours. One day, Pandithamani M.Kadiresan Chettiar came to the camp to have darshan. Swamigal and Chettiar were talking with each other for more than three hours. Swamigal felt that Tamil and Sanskrit was ignored during that time and requested Pandithamani and scholars like him to train and generate exceptional scholars. Later, Swamigal praised Chettiar on his scholarship and presented a peetambaram (Shawl). Chettiar paid his respects to Swamigal and prayed that he would
be in Swamigal’s thoughts for years to come.
